  • A broad list of all potential partners in your partnering universe
  • Delivered as a working document for independent use, or with our support

02
Pitch development

Build a partner-ready pitch

A pitch built for in-licensing teams: TPP-aligned and competitively positioned.

  • Positioned against the competitive landscape, not just describing the science
  • Structured around what pharma and biotech in-licensing teams actually look for
  • Suitable for partnering conferences, investor meetings, and email outreach
03
Outreach & introductions

Run targeted outreach and secure meetings

We reach out to the right-fit companies on your behalf, or hand you the list to run yourself.

  • Relevant in-licensing contacts selected by role and in-licensing activity
  • All correspondence copied into a shared folder so you have full visibility
  • Follow-up rounds managed for you, because that is where most outreach stalls
04
Conference support

Maximise partnering events without the overhead

We attend 4+ major conferences a year, including BIO and BIO-Europe, and handle meetings on your behalf.

  • Active representation: we secure one-on-one meetings for your asset
  • Passive option: we upload your profile and report on inbound interest
  • Conference and travel costs shared across clients to keep costs low
05
Deal management

End-to-end negotiation and deal close

We coordinate term sheets, diligence, and contracting, keeping both sides moving toward close.

  • Negotiations and diligence coordinated so nothing falls between the cracks
  • Data room setup and management handled if needed
  • Hand off as much or as little as you need, on an hourly basis, no minimum commitment
Most outreach stalls during follow-up, not the first email. We manage every round to keep it moving.

Common questions

When is the right time to start a partnering process?
Before you need a deal, not after. Waiting until you are out of runway limits your negotiating position. Ideally, partnering preparation begins alongside your development programme so your pitch, data package, and target list are ready when the science is.
What do pharma companies look for when in-licensing?
In-licensing teams evaluate assets on scientific differentiation, clinical and regulatory feasibility, commercial potential, and team credibility. They want to see a clear target product profile, a realistic development plan, an honest competitive landscape, and evidence that the team understands what it takes to get to market.
How long does a biotech out-licensing process take?
There's no fixed timeline. Some deals close in months, others take years, depending on asset stage, therapeutic area, and partner responsiveness. What we do promise: every viable partner gets approached, every follow-up gets managed.
What materials do I need for a biotech partnering process?
At minimum you need a pitch deck, a one-page asset summary, and a data room with your key scientific and regulatory documents. Your pitch deck should cover the unmet need, your asset’s mechanism and differentiation, the target product profile, development status, regulatory pathway, and partnering ask. Materials should be written for a BD audience, not a scientific one.
How do biotech licensing deals work?
A biotech licensing deal typically involves one company granting another the rights to develop and commercialise an asset in exchange for upfront payments, development milestones, and royalties on future sales. Deal structures vary widely depending on asset stage, therapeutic area, territory, and the relative leverage of each party.
